At the venue some well-known Wicket-related speakers made their entrance and held talks about Brix, Wicket 1.5, WiQuery, and how having a baby compares to writing a book.

		<description><![CDATA[Are you testing your HTML markup automatically yet? If your markup does not match the Java code, your Wicket panel does not work. It’s easy to get early feedback when your panels are broken: just unit test them!

		<description><![CDATA[<a href="http://faler.wordpress.com/2008/12/21/wicket-rad-06-is-out/">Wille Faler</a> released Wicket RAD 0.6, a rapid application development framework for Wicket. This release also includes my <a href="http://stuq.nl/weblog/2008-09-03/user-friendly-form-validation-with-wicket">FeedbackLabel</a>, a component feedback label for more userfriendly forms.

Major points in this release:
<ul>
	<li>Various bugfixes, including an inheritance bug with JPA annotated classes.</li>
	<li>Convenience implementations of Bean Forms in the org.wicketrad.propertyeditor.form package.</li>
	<li><em>ListQueryModel</em> and <em>UniqueResultModel</em> IModel implementations in wicket-rad-jpa module</li>
	<li>Experimental wicket-rad-user module for user management (may change or be entirely removed in the future depending on feedback).</li>
</ul>

		<description><![CDATA[Richard Wilkinson just released a new version of Terracotta integration for Wicket.

From <a href="http://richard-wilkinson.co.uk/2008/12/07/updated-terrcotta-wicket-tim/">his blog</a>:
<blockquote>The code will now automatically configure your application to use the correct page store, with a default of 100 pages history per page map.  If you need to override this value then you can override the the newSessionStore method in your WebApplication class, as in the previous version (see this post).</blockquote>
I should try this out soon! Terracotta and Wicket should be a nice combination.
